This new passage at the Cannes Film Festival, Nicolas Bedos dreaded it. Almost a year ago, the 43-year-old filmmaker was shooting Masquerade on the Côte d’Azur, at the same time as the famous festival was taking place, in a somewhat different version due to the health crisis.
This Friday evening, on the eve of the grand closing ceremony, Masquerade was presented out of competition, a highly anticipated climb that attracted many personalities. If Isabelle Adjani was not present due to a health problem, as she informed Nice morning, Nicolas Bedos was able to count on the rest of the team of his film to accompany him during this climb of the steps. Just like him and Pierre Niney, François Cluzet was accompanied by his other half. The 66-year-old actor lived this moment of emotion but also of pride with the one he married more than ten years ago: Narjiss Slaoui-Falcoz.
While François Cluzet being elegant in his black suit associated with a white shirt and a black tie, Narjiss had meanwhile bet on a golden set consisting of pants and a very open jacket. The couple took full advantage of this moment, sharing a touching complicity in front of the photographers.
Married since 2011, François Cluzet and Narjiss Slaoui-Falcoz form a couple of the most discreet. Rare are the times when the actor confided in the one who fills him with happiness. “I got married three years ago. I am madly in love with my wife. Life is more beautiful than ever, entrusted the star of Small Handkerchiefs and Untouchableamong others, during an interview granted to TV 7 Days. Previously in a relationship with Valérie Bonneton (Do not do this, do not do that), mother of two of his four children, but also with the late Marie Trintignant, with whom he had a child, François Cluzet was full of praise for his current wife in Marie Claire. “J‘I met a woman who is not an actress, who frankly does not even appreciate actors, whom she saw as spoiled, capricious and stupid children. I’m happy about it, because it sends me back not to the partner but to the man that I am. […] JI feel strong. A woman in love makes me manly, I feel like a man. I don’t need to be manly alone.” explained the actor.
In Masquerade, François Cluzet plays the role of Simon. Nicolas Bedos’ film, a dramatic comedy, tells the story of Adrien (played by Pierre Niney), an attractive dancer whose career was shattered by a motorcycle accident, who squanders his youth in idleness on the Côte d’Azur , maintained by Martha (Isabelle Adjani), a former glory of cinema. His life changes when he meets Margot (Marine Vacth), a fascinating creature who lives off scams and amorous manipulations. Together, they will fantasize about a better life and set up a diabolical scheme, a sentimental masquerade.
