Franco-Israeli Mia Schem was released on Thursday

The 21-year-old was among those taken hostage at the Tribe of Nova music festival on October 7.

Kidnapped during the attack carried out on October 7 by Hamas in southern Israel, Mia Schem, 21, appeared on October 16 in a video broadcast by the Palestinian Islamist movement, lying down and receiving treatment on her arm. Following this video, Emmanuel Macron requested his “immediate release”. A wish that came true a month and a half later. According to the Forum of Families of Hostages or Missing, Mia Schem, who worked in a tattoo parlor, was at the Tribe of Nova music festival in the Negev desert when she was taken hostage. She went to this festival in the company of a friend, also Franco-Israeli, Elya Toledano, 27, whose fate is unknown. “We are working tirelessly for the release of the French who are still hostages in the Gaza Strip.
