Franck Lavier, acquitted in the Outreau case, is referred to the Pas-de-Calais Assize Court for rape of his daughter, France Bleu Nord learned from the Boulogne-sur-Mer prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Parisian.

Franck Lavier is accused by his daughter of sexual assault but also of rape. Facts that allegedly took place at the family home in Boulogne-sur-Mer when she was 15 and 16 years old, between September 2015 and May 2016.

After a long investigation, started in 2016, three judges from Boulogne-sur-Mer considered that the charges are sufficient to return Franck Lavier to the assizes.

Franck Lavier has always denied the facts. The prosecutor of Boulogne-sur-Mer had requested in July the correctionnalisation of the file so that it is tried before the criminal court and not the assizes.

Franck Lavier is one of the acquitted of the Outreau case. He was sentenced in 2004 to six years in prison for the rape of his stepdaughter and sexual assault on four children by the Pas-de-Calais Assize Court. The Paris Court of Appeal had acquitted him in 2005.
