Initially a “simple” comedian in comedies, Franck Gastambide has made a name for himself in the French cinematographic landscape over the years thanks to more serious and elaborate roles. In addition to revealing his talent as an actor, the companion of Sabrina Ouazani was able to prove that he also excelled behind the camera. For example, he made Taxi 5 and the excellent series, which broke all records on Canal+ with its two seasons, Valid. But Franck Gastambide does not want to stop there.
With his growing success, he manages to gain confidence, even coming to forget his handicap which has ruined his life for a long time: his dyslexia. The actor has never hidden it but has always had trouble talking about it. It is only for some time that he speaks about it almost without taboo in front of the camera. In particular to show that even being affected by such a disorder, everyone can succeed in life. Something he would never have thought of a few years ago as he confided to the cameras of the show “50′ Inside” in an interview to be published this Saturday, March 12.
“I have an invisible disability, dyslexia, which has ruined my life a bit. […] I never said to myself that I would have the skills to be a screenwriter, I who have always been last in class. What I heard the most when I was little was ‘what are we going to do with him'”, he reveals. If, today, he manages to live with it, he says he is still frightened at the idea of ”passing on” his handicap to his offspring: “and I’m so scared to have children who have my disability, who may have the complexities that I’ve encountered in my life”.
Despite this fear, Sabrina Ouazani’s companion finally seems ready to change his life and take on a role he has never “played” before: that of becoming a father. “I’m quite terrified of this [la dyslexie] but I feel that the time is coming”he admitted to the cameras of TF1.
