Francis Lalanne wins his lawsuit against Fort Boyard, a nice sum at stake

Another court defeat for ALP: the show’s production company Fort Boyard was ordered by the industrial tribunal to pay nearly 10,000 euros in compensation to Francis Lalanne, dismissed in 2020. The singer will also recover the hat that was part of his Narcissus costume … on the other hand, the pipe wood, another element used, will remain in Charente-Maritime.

An important victory for the singer, who accused the company of having dismissed him after learning of his membership in the Yellow Vests Movement, an argument firmly contested on the side of Alexia Laroche-Joubert, president of the company. This only argues, through the voice of his lawyer, the low participation of the singer in the show: out of 42 episodes, he only appeared 17 times before his character was deleted.

It must be said that Francis Lalanne has been very busy lately: in addition to his fight alongside the Yellow Vests, he has worked hard against the vaccine and all the health measures decided by the government. In particular, he had caused a scandal several times by organizing large concerts during the peak of the pandemic by asking people to remove their masks.

However, he won his case in court, a real satisfaction for his lawyer, Me Emmanuel Ludot. “Jurisprudence moralizes the work of artists on these filming locations, such as Fort Boyard or Koh Lanta, where they are treated a bit like slaves by having them sign contracts without respecting the labor code too much.“, he reacted.

It must be said that this is not the first time that he has attacked the same company: a few months ago, he was the interpreter of Mister Boo, the “muscle man” of Fort Boyard, which he had represented, helping him to requalify his contracts and win 17,000 euros in damages. A case that is now appealed to the court of Poitiers.

The show Fort Boyard, which is currently in the middle of filming the episodes of its 33rd season, broadcast this summer, continues in any case to call on external actors to embody the characters of the Fort and for some, who have become cults, this has been going on for several decades: the father Fouras, interpreted by Yann le Gac, has been present since 1990, as has Passe-Partout, played by the famous André Bouchet or Felindra (Monique Angeon). The tigers will no longer be there… They have been present in the program since its launch in 1990.
