Antoine Lifaut, production assistant at franceinfo, tells us about the roasted camembert and the holiday memories that go with it. “My parents sent me every summer to summer camphe recalls. I bought camemberts that I put in aluminum foil and that I cooked on the wood fire that we made in the evening. The smell of roasted Camembert really reminds me of the atmosphere around. The people you have known for a few days and to whom you tell about your life in the evening, often under the stars and in the middle of nature.
Wood-fired Camembert is a “simple and easy to prepare recipe” : “It was my mother who taught me to do this when I was little. We had a garden in which we made wood fires sometimes in the summer.”
And to conclude: “Roasted Camembert reminds me of wood fires and the people around. For me, it’s nature, it’s vacation… The smell of Camembert for me is really synonymous with vacation.”
