If you are passing through Marseille this summer, you may be able to browse the exhibition superstar pharaohs devoted to the kings and queens of ancient Egypt: it tells how some pharaohs became stars while others are less familiar to us today.

To answer children’s questions about the pharaohs, franceinfo junior invited Amandine Marshall, Egyptologist, author of the NéfertiTube and ToutankaTube Youtube channels.
“Why have we forgotten some pharaohs while some have become known?” first asks Alice, a student in Savoie in Valloire. Joan wonders “how can we know the names of the pharaohs”. The opportunity for the guest to talk about the work of Jean-François Champollion. Emma wants to know why this exhibition is taking place in Marseille and if we can see sarcophagi and amulets there.
