The third edition of the National Conference on Pollinating Insects will be held on November 15 and 16, 2023 in Besançon. The opportunity for budding journalists from the Jeanne-Kaes school in Beaumont Saint-Cyr, in Vienne, to wonder about the role played by these indispensable little creatures. To answer the children, today’s guest is François Lasserre, entomologist and author of several books on insects including The inventory of small garden creatures (2020, Hoëbeke) and Let’s save the insects! (2020, Rustica).

First of all Léa wonders “which insects are part of this family?”then Sarah asks “why do they need to pollinate?”. Aimie wonders about the lifespan of these insects. “How do they walk vertically?” Leo questions.. Loanne wonders about reproduction and Chris about threats. Finally Loanne asks the guest “How do insects defend themselves?”
