On Monday June 26 and Tuesday June 27, middle school students in third grade take the written examinations for the patent, the first examination of their school life. What is the patent and how does it happen? This is an opportunity to talk about it in franceinfo junior with future college students, CM2 students from the Veyziat school in Oyonnax in Ain. To answer their many questions, franceinfo junior invites Sophie Vénétitay, professor and general secretary of the Snes-FSU union.

We get to the heart of the matter with this first schoolboy question: “The patent, is it done in one go or do you pass several tests several times?”, Medhi asks.
“I would like to know how long has the patent existed?”, continues Nathanael. “nineteen eighty one, responds the guest, only on the grades we had during the year, what we call continuous assessment (…) The moment when we started having tests at the end of the year was in 1986. ”
Ethan then turns to patent reviews and how long it takes for students. Finally, Carl wonders if patenting is mandatory for “to have a job later”.
