How to create special effects? What is a day of filming a science fiction film like? On the occasion of the Gérardmer International Fantastic Film Festival, the children of franceinfo junior go behind the scenes of fantasy films with a specialist on the subject: François Descraques, director and screenwriter. He is the creator of the web series The Visitor of the Future and the film of the same name, which he released in September 2022 in cinemas. He answers questions from students at Pierre-Blanquie college in Villeneuve-de-Marsan, in the Landes.
The first question goes to Clément who saw the guest’s feature film: “How does a day of filming go?” so the schoolboy wants to know. She begins “always very early”, replies François Descraques before giving the details. “How do you create your special effects and using what?” continues Lili. “Where do you get your inspiration?” Léa also questions. “What kind of actors do you need to star in a fantasy film?” Lili continues.
