Monday, May 8, the children of franceinfo junior ask their questions about the history of young resistance fighters during the Second World War. To answer their questions, franceinfo junior hands his microphone to Stéphane Simonnet, historian of the Second World War, researcher at the University of Caen. He answers questions from CM2 students at the Rouanet school in Paris.
The first question goes to Fatoumata: the schoolgirl wants to know how many resistant teenagers and adults there were in France. “Did the teenage resistance fighters take cues from their parents or did they do it themselves?” Angela continues. It’s Safa’s turn to ask the guest of the day a question: “Have many children died?” during this war. Angèle wonders again if the resistance fighters, young and old, have “helped”. To close this program, Fatoumata wonders if German teenagers also resisted.
On this page, re-listen in full to this franceinfo junior program on the history of the resistance during the 1939-1945 war.
