On Tuesday April 12, franceinfo junior sets out to discover the Paris Opera and more specifically its dance school, which is presenting its annual show this week. To talk about it, franceinfo junior hands the microphone to Maxime, 13, a student at the dance school of the Paris Opera. For more than three years, he has been part of this establishment where he learns dance. In the program, he answers questions from CE1 students at the European School of Strasbourg.
To begin with, Mateo wonders “how do we get in” at the school of the Paris Opera. Nina also questions the apprentice dancer: “Is the training of boys the same as that of girls?” The schoolgirl also wonders how long the lessons last before becoming a professional dancer. Fatima looks at what the students eat. Again, Mateo wonders “where the little dancers sleep”. Finally, one last question from Denis: “Is opera training difficult?”
On this page, re-listen in full to this franceinfo junior program on the little student dancers of the opera.
