This Wednesday, April 24, the franceinfo junior show is heading to the planet Mars, or almost… Today’s guest is Léa Bourgély, final year student of the Master of Aerospace Engineering, at the Higher Institute of Aeronautics and Space (Isae-Supaero) of Toulouse. She has just completed a life simulation mission on Mars. She spent a month at a station in the Utah desert in the United States. She answers questions from students at Ali Halidi college in Chiconi in Mayotte.

Soam wants to know how long this experience lasted. “How did you get into this program?” continues Ildana. The schoolgirl also wants to know if this experience had a “physical and mental impact” on the guest.

A scientific question follows: “Is gravity on Mars higher or lower than on Earth?” Djamayel asks.

Storm, broken equipment, living conditions, the terms of this experience also interest the young interviewers. “What problems did you encounter during this stay?” Soam continues. Céliane also wants to know how the students ate.

“So far we have only sent robots to Mars, what difficulties do we encounter sending humans?” asks Céliane.
