Wednesday is movie day and children’s day! The opportunity for franceinfo junior to highlight a profession in the shadows of cinema: those who dress the actors. To answer children’s questions: Dorothée Guiraud, she notably made the costumes for the film Portrait of the girl on fire, for which she had been nominated for the Césars. At the microphone, we listen to the questions of Louison, Agathe and Stella, students in CE2-CM1 at the l’Arbre Sec school in Paris.

Louison first asks the guest where is from “the inspiration” to create costumes. “Do you do sketches before making the dresses and costumes? And do you also take care of the accessories that go with it?” then asks Agathe. She also wants to know what was the very first costume made by the guest of the day. “How do you do if during the film, you realize that there is a small hole?” asks Louison at the microphone. Finally, Stella wants to know if the costume designer still works for the same kind of movies. On this page, listen to this franceinfo junior program in its entirety.
