A mixed draw for the France team. On their way to Euro 2024 which will take place in Germany, from June 14 to July 14, 2024, the Blues will have a major obstacle: the Netherlands. Placed in group B, the French however avoided the worst during the draw for the playoffs, Sunday, October 9. Indeed, after their failed League of Nations, the Tricolores were in pot number 2. And if they inherited a heavyweight from pot 1, as expected, they avoided the pitfalls of other pots, such as Norway or Turkey.

In Group B, the Blues will face the Netherlands, Ireland, Greece and Gibraltar. Apart from the caliber of the opponents, France can be happy to be placed in a group of five teams, which will leave room for friendly matches. As a reminder: the first two of the group will be directly qualified for the Euro.

With Italy, England and Ukraine, Group C already appears to be that of death. It should also be noted that Germany, the host country, is automatically qualified.

This qualifying campaign for Euro 2024 will start next March. It will take place over an extremely tight period, due to the 2022 World Cup positioned in November-December. Indeed, the 8 or 10 qualifying matches (depending on the number of teams in a group) will be played between March and November 2023. For the play-offs, this will happen in March 2024.
