Some 2,500 Ukrainian refugees in Moldova will be transferred to France as part of an operation coordinated by the European Commission “to voluntary countries”says Gérald Darmanin on Twitter, Friday, March 11. The Minister of the Interior clarified that this reception had been decided by Emmanuel Macron.

According to the UNHCR, on March 10 there were 105,000 Ukrainian refugees in Moldova. They are more than a million in Poland, as of March 11. About 10,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in France since Russia invaded the country on February 24, according to the Interior Ministry.
