As part of France Télévisions’ partnership with the Cannes Film Festival, Michel Field confirms that this year, there will be even more relocations during the 77th edition of the festival, between May 14 and 25, 2024.

The show “C à vous” will be scheduled every evening live from the Croisette, and other shows will be intermittently: “C ce soir” with Karim Rissouli, “La Grande Librairie”, once “Télématin” and perhaps “What a time” with Léa Salamé.

Budget unchanged

On the reprimands that the public channel could face regarding the spending of public money, the group’s culture director explains that the budget will be the same as last year. In any case, it is impossible to ignore this event, he declares: “You shouldn’t think that the Cannes Film Festival is just the red carpet and the glitter.”

“After the Olympics and the Football World Cup, this is the third global event covered by hundreds of journalists from around the world.”

Michel Field recalls that “cinema is an essential vector of culture” and he adds: “On all our channels, there will be cinema every evening and it is unthinkable that France Télévisions, a public service, will not be at the biggest global cultural event that is the Cannes Film Festival.“.
