The history of the Tour will continue to be written on the antennas of France Télévisions. Guest of Vélo Club on Sunday July 23, at the end of the last stage of the Tour de France 2023, Christian Prudhomme, the boss of the organization of the Grande Boucle, announced that the partnership with the public service was extended. Historic broadcaster of the Tour de France and the Tour de France Women, the France Télévisions group will remain so at least until 2030.
“We are delighted”rejoiced Christian Prudhomme on the set of Vélo Club. “I quite often face readers with the local press, the first question is will it stay on free and on France Televisions. That’s the strength of the Tour, it’s a free show on the side of the roads, but also in front of the TV. It’s great, and not just because it’s a house that matters to me, and that I’ve been working there for years. Delphine Ernotte Cunci, president of France Télévisions, confided in a press release from the group to be “proud and happy” the renewal of this contract “to bring to life one of the most beautiful sporting events in the world”.
Through this partnership, France Télévisions remains the official broadcaster on all screens (TV, digital, mobile) of Paris-Nice, the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, Paris-Roubaix and Paris-Roubaix Women with Zwift, Flèche Wallonne (men and women), Liège-Bastogne-Liège (men and women), the Tro Bro Léon, the Critérium du Dauphiné, the Tour de France and the Tour de France Women with Zwift, as well as Paris-Tours .
