France retains its title thanks to Zoé and her song “Cœur”

Former semi-finalist of the telecrochet “The Voice Kids”, Zoé, 13, won the 2023 edition, beating Spain and Armenia.

France keeps the cup at home. Represented by Zoé Clauzure, 13, France retained its title on Sunday November 26 during the Junior Eurovision contest, organized in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), the organizers announced on their social networks. Former semi-finalist of the telecrochet “The Voice Kids” in 2020, fan of Zaho de Sagazan, Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish, she won, beating Spain and Armenia.

With her powerful voice, Zoe Clauzure performed Hearta song with a pop rhythm talking about school bullying. “I find it reassuring to wear the colors blue-white-red in your own country, I have the impression of being surrounded by my own people. And I am happy to send such a strong message about school bullying”explained the schoolgirl at the end of September in a press release, when her selection was announced.

France won Junior Eurovision last year in Yerevan thanks to Lissandro and his title Oh mom!but also in 2020 with Valentina and her song I imagine. Created in 2003, Junior Eurovision saw this year 16 countries compete for its title: Albania, Germany, Armenia, Spain, Estonia, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, North Macedonia, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. With three victories now, France joins Georgia in the ranking of countries having won the most often.
