France no longer receives Russian gas at all. The announcement was made on Friday June 17, when reserves have never been so low in Europe. What are the solutions to replenish our reserves?

Vladimir Putin is cutting off the gas to France. For the past two days, one of the main gas pipelines coming from Russia and passing through Germany has not been exporting any gas to our country. Moscow, which provides 17% of our consumption, is thus taking revenge for European sanctions.Sanctions are a double-edged sword and work both ways“, said Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.

France had anticipated by importing more viaSpain, but also more liquefied gas, with an augmentation of 60% since the beginning of the year.No difficulty is expected during the summer to meet the needs of French consumers“, says the manager of the French network GRTGaz. But what about this winter? Because storage is at 56% today. “It will be very complicated because there is not much liquefied natural gas available and our infrastructures to receive it are operating at 100%”believes Thierry Bros, expert in energy and professor at Sciences Po. The tariff shield will be in place until the end of the year, but this is not the case for businesses and local authorities.
