The French handball federation has just made the news official this Wednesday: the Blues will be at Le Mans on January 4, 2023 just before the World Cup, which will be held from January 11 in Poland and Sweden. The France team will face the Netherlands in Antarès. Gold medalists at the Tokyo Olympics, Guillaume Gille’s men will therefore begin their preparation for the world championships in Sarthe.
A second international match on the bill at Antarès
“This first preparation match at Le Mans is a first major meeting“, indicates the federation in a press release. The Blues led by Nicolas Karabatic will aim to play the final of the Tournoi de France three days later in Orléans, against Egypt or the Czech Republic, two formations which will also face -a-face at Le Mans on January 4. Tickets whose sale is already open are valid for both matches.
