Belgium is giving us an example today by repatriating these children from Syria?
Yes Belgium, but not only Germany, but also Sweden. There are very few Belgian children and women left in the camps. There are very few Swedish women and Swedish children left in the camps. Since January 1, 2022, 65 children and 27 women from the European Union have been repatriated, none of them French.

Why does France adopt this intransigent position?
France lacks humanity and responsibility but it will be obliged to repatriate. Emmanuel Macron cannot persist in his statements because this new five-year term will be that of child protection. France cannot let 200 children and their mothers “die” in camps in northeast Syria. Repatriations must be done quickly. It is over 40 degrees in the Roj camp where the children are in their 3rd, 4th or 5th summer for some. France must be the country that respects international commitments. France is the only European country to have been condemned by the International Committee on the Rights of the Child, the only European country to have violated the International Convention on the Rights of the Child by allowing children to perish in a war zone.
Is there also a security risk in leaving these children there?
Of course, Daesh is waiting for them, Daesh is calling for them. Daesh calls on its fighters to come and free its children and women and therefore recover them. What are we waiting for ? To repopulate Daesh by leaving them there. These women need to be judged. I am taking part in the trial of the attacks of November 13 and with associations for the protection of victims of terrorism, we held a conference and they want these children to return for the sake of humanity and they want these women to return because they want see them judged in France. They want trials, they want to understand.
