Kingsley Coman sets off for a ride. The French international winger (36 caps, 5 goals), recently tested positive for Covid-19, extended his contract with Bayern Munich by 4 years on Wednesday January 12. The 25-year-old is thus linked to the Bavarian club, current Bundesliga leader, until 2027. His lease was initially due to end in June 2023.

The PSG-trained player arrived in Germany in 2017 from Juventus Turin. He made his mark in Bayern’s XXL squad, despite recurring physical problems. This fragility did not ultimately constitute an obstacle to its extension, nor the competition from Serge Gnabry for his post. Kingsley Coman has played 17 games this season and scored 5 goals in all competitions with Munich.
This announcement puts an end to rumors sending Coman to the four corners of Europe. The 25-year-old winger’s future is stable, and that’s great news for Didier Deschamps. When he is fit to play, the Bavarian is systematically summoned by the coach. Which could rely on him in a role of piston, for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (from November 21 to December 18).
