France Bleu Azur is testing summer hikes in the Alpes Maritimes: Pointe de Colombart

Direction Colombart Point

Located at the top of the Tinée valley, this balcony route leads from the Col de la Moutière to the Pointe de Colombart.

By an old military road, it offers an easy path on the bare slopes from the top of the Bonette.

The interest of this walk lies in a very low drop, since you will reach the Col de la Moutière by car by a small asphalt road crossing the Mercantour National Park.

From the Moutière and Colombart passes, you will also be able to enjoy a very wide panorama over the entire upper Tinée, a panorama whose quality will be further improved by climbing a brief more alpine round trip to the Pointe de Colombart (2,641 m) which dominates the pass (South).

The pastoral activity very present in this sector requires strict respect for the tranquility of the herds which transhume there from July to October.
