Four young people arrested for a savage attack near a school in Montreal North

The Service de police de la ville de Montréal (SPVM) has so far arrested four young people aged 16 to 19 in connection with an assault on two students which occurred on Monday, on the grounds of a secondary school in the borough of Montreal. -North.

That day, around 4:20 p.m., a conflict broke out after classes.

Two 16-year-old students from Calixa-Lavallée school were assaulted outside: one was even hit with a hammer. He was rushed to hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is now out of danger, according to the police.

The suspects fled before police arrived.

The arrests were made over the past two days, says the SPVM.

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday and appeared before the Youth Division of the Court of Quebec on Thursday. He faces charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The three other individuals apprehended Thursday, a 16-year-old teenager and two 19-year-old men, remain detained pending their appearance.

The police investigation will continue concerning the possible participation of other people in the planning of this aggression, specifies the SPVM.
