Four students filed a complaint against the police on Friday March 17 in Nantes after the blocking operation that took place last Tuesday, Porte de la Chapelle, on the Nantes ring road, their lawyers report to France Bleu Loire Océan on Sunday March 19. They describe inappropriate gestures and “of a sexual nature” on the part of the police, who came to check around fifty students present on the spot.

Aurélie Rolland, lawyer for two of the studentsin France Bleu Loire Ocean
According to these students, their private parts were notably palpated during this check. Degrading remarks of a sexist and sexual nature were also made, according to them. “I received in my office young women shocked by what had happened to them”tells France Bleu Loire Océan Aurélie Rolland, lawyer for two of the students, all in their twenties.
“If what this young woman says is true, these are searches contrary to the rules in force within the police”indicates for her part to France Bleu Anne Bouillon, lawyer for another student. “She evokes humiliating and vexatious remarks, disconnected from what could be likened to an identity check.” For their part, the police contest and evoke simple pat-downs. The Nantes prosecutor indicated that the IGPN (General Inspectorate of the National Police) had been seized on this case.
