Four points for Kane on his return to the game

(Chicago) Patrick Kane had three goals and one assist on his return to Thursday, Monday, as the Chicago Blackhawks posted their first win this season, beating the Ottawa Senators, 5-1.

Marc-André Fleury stopped 29 shots and the Hawks increased their record to 1-7-2, in a half-full United Center.

Brandon Hagel scored twice and captain Jonathan Toews was the accomplice of three goals.

Kane missed four games related to the NHL pandemic protocol.

Alex Formenton beat Fleury early in the third period. Matt Murray blocked 26 pucks.

Kane rose to third in club history with 408 goals, ousting Steve Larmer.

He also replaced Denis Savard as the Blackhawks’ third point scorer, with 1097 points.
