Four people stabbed in Montreal, one dead

A man stabbed four people in downtown Montreal, one fatally.

Around 6:50 a.m., a man in psychosis allegedly stabbed two members of his family with a knife, said the spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service, Mariane Allaire Morin. The tragedy took place on Drummond Street downtown.

The man in his thirties would then have gone to another apartment, where he would have made a third victim. He then allegedly stabbed a security guard.

One of the victims lost his life. “His death was pronounced on the spot,” said Mr.me Allaire Morin.

The other three were transported to a hospital. Two are in critical condition and one is in stable condition.

The suspect was arrested at the scene.

A crime scene is erected in the area. Investigators are heading to the scene.
