Three men and a woman have been in police custody since Saturday in Compiègne. They are suspected of “aggravated pimping”, after the testimony of a 15-year-old girl. Their police custody was extended on Sunday.
The victim was allegedly sequestered and forcibly prostituted. She managed to reach a friend who would have called 17 to denounce the facts of prostitution and kidnapping.
The teenager would be from around Reims and had been placed in a home in the Marne, by a children’s judge from Châlons-en-Champagne, for almost two years. But she would have run away since May.
“A disturbing context”
The investigation is ongoing and the facts are still to be clarified. The young girl would have initially gone to Paris where she began prostitution of her own free will before the situation escaped her. Wishing to flee from his Parisian pimps, she would have, according to the prosecutor of Compiègne, been transported, perhaps to Amiens. But according to the prosecutor, who speaks of a “worrying context” it is not sure that she went there and even less that she prostituted herself there. She would then have joined Compiègne in mid-July.
For three weeks, she would have been sequestered in the apartment of the young woman in police custody, aged 22 and from Compiègne. The other three men allegedly forced him into prostitution by taking him to clients’ homes. Aged between 20 and 25 years old and from the Paris region, two of them would be known for acts of violence, drug trafficking and theft.
Police custody can last up to 96 hours. The teenager also denounced several other people, but there are no other arrests for the moment.
