Two people died, drowned, in Asturias, on the Atlantic coast, and two others in Catalonia, on the Mediterranean coast.

Four people died on Thursday March 28, swept away by the sea on the northwest and northeast coasts of Spain, swept by violent winds and waves several meters high. “Two dead after falling into the sea in Muros del Nalón and Cudillero”said a statement from the Asturias Emergency Service, where waves reached up to seven meters high according to the Spanish Meteorological Agency.
On the Catalan coast, a 16-year-old Moroccan minor fell into the water on the beach in Tarragona, the Civil Guard told AFP. A 32-year-old German who was passing by then jumped into the water to try to help him, the Civil Guard continued, but they both drowned.
The Spanish meteorological agency has issued an orange alert on the northwest coasts to warn of the dangerousness of the sea on Thursday.
