Four people were arrested by the gendarmerie of Auvers-sur-Oise (Val-d’Oise) Wednesday, November 3 after the assault of an off-duty policeman on Tuesday evening, franceinfo learned from a police source. An investigation is underway, the Paris police headquarters said in a tweet.
According to information from franceinfo, three of the four people arrested admitted their involvement in the facts. The investigations were entrusted to the departmental security of Val-d’Oise.
The official was assaulted on a train in Saint-Leu-La Forêt (Val-d’Oise), on his way home. The attackers recognized this police officer from the railway network brigade, which depends on the Paris police headquarters. This is particularly what emerges from the police officer’s testimony.
The attackers then took him violently in the train. The Paris Police Prefecture also reacted in a tweet by sending its “support for the police officer attacked and injured by several individuals as he returned to his home”.
