Four people arrested during the demonstration against the vaccine pass in Orleans

The police intervened this Saturday afternoon during the demonstration against sanitary measures, in Orléans. Like every Saturday for months, the demonstrators wandered the streets of the city to say no to the health and vaccination pass, at the call of the collective Citizen, Citizen. But this time, the police arrested four peopleincluding the organizer of the event.

Burned pallets on the tram tracks

Demonstrators placed pallets on the tram tracks, at Place De Gaulle [où les deux lignes se croisent] and tried to set them on fire“, say the police. “We intervened before it turned into a blaze. We arrested the people who set the fires and those who opposed our intervention.” Those four people are now in custody at the police station d’Orléans, for degradation of the public domain and disruption of traffic.

the procession also did not respect the route validated by the Prefecture, explains a police source. The previous week, Saturday March 5, the organizers of the mobilization denounced difficulties in having a course validated for their mobilization. “I myself filed an appeal with the Administrative Court of Orléans concerning this refusal of course of which the Prefecture is customary“, announced the organizer of the demonstration in a press release.
