Four pedestrians were killed in a road accident in Sarcelles, in Val-d’Oise, this Sunday around 6:45 p.m., firefighters told franceinfo confirming information from the Parisian. They were hit by a car on departmental road 316, avenue de la Division Leclerc.
The victims are two women aged 31 and 66 and two men aged 52 and 53, firefighters said. They were in cardiac arrest when help arrived. They were hit on this departmental road, outside the pedestrian crossing and in an unlit area, while leaving a meeting organized by the Haitian community, according to our colleagues from Parisianwhich specify that the driver of the car, holder of a valid license, was taken into police custody.
“A psychological unit will remain open all night in the nearest school” from the scene of the accident, indicates the mayor of Sarcelles, Patrick Haddad, on Facebook. The investigation was entrusted to the Sarcelles police station.
