Four Israeli hostages were released on Saturday June 8 by the IDF. All are in good health.
They seem tired, but they are free this Saturday, June 8. Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, four hostages held by Hamas, were released by the Israeli army. All were kidnapped on October 7, 2023, during the attack at the Nova music festival. At the hospital where they were being treated, their friends shouted their relief to see them alive again.
The Israeli army went to liberate them in Nusseirat, in central Gaza. The operation was carried out in broad daylight, to, she said, surprise Hamas. Soldiers simultaneously stormed two apartment buildings, where they say the hostages were being held among civilian families and guards. The IDF announced that it had lost one soldier in the operation, and acknowledged that around a hundred Palestinians had been killed. For several days, Israeli strikes had been concentrated in this area of Gaza, killing many civilians.
