Three people were arrested after the attack on four firefighters on Friday October 21 during a high school demonstration in Tours, reports France Bleu Touraine. The director of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Indre-et-Loire (Sdis) said on Twitter that he had filed a complaint.

The attack took place near the Balzac high school, in the center of Tours. After responding to a trash fire, firefighters helped a young man molested by several individuals. The latter then violently attacked the firefighters, punching and kicking them. Four firefighters were slightly injured.
Three people were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the attack. One of his suspects had already been spotted in the morning in another high school for mortar fire. One of the three, a 16-year-old minor unknown to the police, admitted while in police custody having kicked a firefighter and apologized, said the Tours public prosecutor. at France Bleu Touraine on Monday 24 October. He will go before a juvenile judge to answer for this violence next December.
Videos of the assault circulated on social media over the weekend. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin brought Saturday on Twitter his “support this crew”. He also wants a “speedy recovery to the four injured”. The president of the National Federation of Firefighters of France, Grégory Allione has meanwhile called for a “zero tolerance” and to “maximum penalties”.
