Gold medalist in the 500m and the team sprint on Friday, the long track speed skater won the 1000m this afternoon. Dubreuil clocked 1:09.278 to win ahead of Korean Seong Hyeon Park who clocked 1:09.838.
Paired with Dubreuil, the American Conor McDermott Mostowy had set the second fastest time, but he was disqualified for not giving way to the Lévis skater during the first crossing.
Christopher Fiola finished 4th in a time of 1:10:660.
