Defender Kamal Miller, goalkeeper James Pantemis, midfielder Samuel Piette and forward Romell Quioto have been selected for the national team for Concacaf’s upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Canada will play two games during the international break in Edmonton, first against Costa Rica on November 12, then against leader-class Mexico on November 16.
Miller and Piette played two of three games in the final round in October, when the Canadians drew Mexico (1-1) and Jamaica (0-0) on the road as well as a victory over the Panama (4-1) at Toronto.
With his participation as a substitute at the end of the game against Panama, Piette reached the plateau of 60 games played in the national team.
For its part, Quioto and Honduras will face Panama on November 12, then Costa Rica on November 16 in San José. In his last appearances for the national team in September, Quioto played all qualifying matches, against Canada, El Salvador and the United States.
