Simultaneous searches in the Charlesbourg sector notably led to the seizure of two pellet weapons, a taser, a 32-caliber revolver, a telescopic baton, a machete, three crossbows, arrows and a bow, indicated the Police Department of Quebec City (SPVQ) in a press release.
The SPVQ also claimed to have seized cocaine, narcotics, cannabis, hashish and GHB – without specifying the quantities – as well as articles related to the sale of narcotics.
Three of the four suspects appeared Friday at the Court of Quebec. All three remained detained. Only one of the individuals was released, the SPVQ said.
The three men and one woman are between 26 and 56 years old.
Several units collaborated in the operation as part of the MALSAIN project, set up in February 2019 to tackle violence linked to organized crime’s drug trafficking.
