(Mexico) The Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, which will not find its place on the calendar until 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is extended until 2025, the F1 promoter announced on Saturday.
“Although we are all disappointed that we were not able to include China in the 2022 calendar due to the conditions of the current pandemic, China will be back in its place as soon as conditions allow and we look forward to reuniting with the fans as soon as possible” , commented F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali in a statement.
Present on the calendar of the premier category of motorsport since 2004, the Chinese GP in Shanghai has not been held since 2019 because of COVID-19.
