Formula 1 | Canadian Grand Prix attendance record

A grand total of 345,000 people crossed the gates of the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve to attend the Grand Prix du Canada last weekend. This is an attendance record.

Formula 1 made the announcement on its social networks on Monday, the day after the race.

Unsurprisingly, it was the double world champion Max Verstappen who triumphed at the end of a race without much history. It’s his second straight win in Canada, his sixth of the season and his 41e in career.

Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin and Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes crossed the finish line in second and third place respectively.
