Formula 1 | AlphaTauri changes name to Visa Cash App RB F1

Visa will enter Formula 1 this season as part of the Red Bull Racing organization, formalizing its first global sports sponsorship deal in 15 years.

Visa will now appear in the name of Red Bull’s school team, which has been called Scuderia AlphaTauri since 2020, in honor of the Austrian energy drink giant’s clothing brand. The team, which will rely on drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, indicated on Wednesday that it will be called Visa Cash App RB F1 for the 2024 world championship.

This is the second time this winter that a team has changed its name – the one previously called Alfa Romeo is now known as the Stake F1 Kick Sauber team – and the third time in the history of the Red Bull school team.

The team was called Scuderia Toro Rosso – the Italian translation of the name Red Bull – between 2006 and 2020. The agreement with Visa is for a period of three years, specified the vice-president of global corporate strategy of Visa, Andrea Fairchild, to the Associated Press.
