Former “Star Academy” candidate turned Youtuber, she attacks reality TV stars like never before, “scammers who sell shit”

Rapper Booba is not the only one to have gone to war against influencers on the Web. In Belgium, the lovely Jill Vandermeulen alias Silent Jill, followed by 550,000 people on Instagram and a little more on Youtube, explained why she did not want us to refer to her activity in this term, which has lost its luster these last months !

“Fools Who Made Reality TV”

More of a content creator, the host of RTL has dissociated herself from her brothers and sisters, because, she says: “I wouldn’t mind that term if it hadn’t been so smeared by some people”. Indeed, mother (of Bella June, James, Jude and Charlie Jane) hardworking, she explains about her schedule: “we work all day, unlike some who think we do nothing. My working day begins when I get up in the morning and pick up my phone, and ends when I put it back on the nightstand. I never get a break”.

This is the reason why the 35-year-old young woman readily understands the public’s epidermal reaction against influencers. She tackles thus:when we use this term, we pass for fools who have done reality TV, scammers who sell shit to people and do nothing with their day, except receive gifts and spend holidays in Dubai, when I am a thousand leagues from that”.

A shame when you know that the young woman has herself been revealed by Star Academy (season 5, in France) … but who cares. Jill Vandermeulen decided that she didn’t want to “to be put in the same bag as all these people” by people who “don’t know anything about it”. If on her side, she also influences the public, she defends herself from doing her job of “healthy, positive and authentic way“.

under criticism

For proof, she said “if I do product placement, it’s never for shitty brands, to speak crudely”. In fact, because of her more ethical way of working on the Web, she tolerates very little criticism and regrets having to “constantly being criticized for the slightest thing we say or do”.
