A revolving door noticed. Former Macronist Secretary of State Laurent Pietraszewski will chair the board of directors of Casino once its buyers led by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky take control at the end of March, according to the distributor’s financial documentation published Tuesday March 12 in evening.
“On the date of completion of the financial restructuring” of the distributor in great financial difficulty, its current CEO and first shareholder Jean-Charles Naouri “will resign from all his duties with immediate effect“, in the same way “all members of the board of directors” with one exception, that of Nathalie Andrieux, indicates the distributor in its universal registration document published Tuesday evening.

The new board of directors of Casino, appointed “provisionally” before ratification of the appointments at the next general meeting of the group, will be chaired by Laurent Pietraszewski. Philippe Palazzi, whose appointment as general manager had been known for several months, will also be a director of the group.
Laurent Pietraszewski, former Secretary of State for Pensions and Occupational Health during Emmanuel Macron’s first term, had previously worked for the northern distributor Auchan.
