According to justice, 130,000 dollars (about 122,000 euros) were paid to Stormy Daniels, Stephanie Clifford of her real name, to buy her silence and thus not to harm the candidate Trump during the presidential election of 2016.
A first for a former US president
In his message, Donald Trump states that “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan district attorney’s office claim that “the Republican candidate and former President of the United States will be arrested on Tuesday of next week”underlines the American press agency AP (link in English). However, the agency clarified that Donald Trump did not give details about how he was informed of the planned arrest.
Such an arrest, or even his indictment in this case, would be a first for a former US president. “Protest, take back our nation!”, added the 2024 presidential candidate, in an all-caps message.
