Former Nickelodeon stars open up about abuse on set

The Investigation Discovery (ID) channel released the trailer for its new program Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (The dark side of children’s television), which contains explosive allegations.
Featuring interviews with former child actors from hit Nickelodeon shows like All That And Zoe 101the trailer claims that the new show will reveal “the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children’s series of the late 1990s and early 2000s.”
According to the trailer, former Nickelodeon showrunner Dan Schneider allegedly maintained a “toxic and dangerous culture” behind the scenes, “an insidious environment rife with allegations of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate relationships.” with minor stars and crew members.”
Dan Schneider, who worked for Nickelodeon from 1994 to 2018, was the mastermind behind many of the era’s biggest hits, including iCarly, Victorious And Drake & Josh. He left the network in 2018, when some media outlets reported that he was difficult to work with. According to New York TimesDan Schneider was “prone to tantrums and angry emails.”
Dan Schneider defended himself by telling the newspaper in 2021 that he simply had “high standards”. “I could not, and would not, have the long-term friendships and continued loyalty of so many reputable people if I had mistreated my actors of all ages, especially minors,” he said.
