“For me, sovereignty is part of an analysis of the context. For me, it is a mistake to always have an invariable answer, I want to take the context into account and the pandemic has brought about a huge change in context, ”explained the Parti Québécois candidate, on the sidelines of an announcement on the increase in funding for CLSCs, in Rouyn-Noranda, Sunday.

” [La pandémie de la COVID-19] demonstrated the importance of having autonomy and the ability to meet our needs, whether food autonomy or the importance of having a strong social safety net […] I have come to say that Quebec’s independence is really the best option in the context. I do not deny what I have said in the past, I believe that there has really been an evolution, ”she pleaded.

Christine Moore was the NDP MP for the riding of Abitibi—Témiscamingue from 2011 to 2019. She was also a candidate under the NDP banner in the 2006 and 2008 elections. At the end of August, she announced that she was the leap into provincial politics to defend the colors of the Parti Québécois. The current state of the health network is no stranger to the decision of this professional nurse clinician.

The candidate for the Parti Québécois in Marie-Victorin, Pierre Nantel, was also an NDP member in the House of Commons.
