The former member of the PQ for Nicolet Michel Morin thus admitted to having never considered an option other than that of the PQ.

“My attachment remains intact. Yes, indeed I am a sovereigntist. I am a separatist and I will remain so, a separatist,” he insisted.

For the first time, however, Michel Morin did not take an active part in a provincial election campaign, he who had begun to militate under the National Union.

Former PQ minister Jean-Pierre Jolivet is also staying the course. In front of his residence, you can clearly see a poster of chef Paul St-Pierre Plamondon.

“I tell myself, for sure, it’s not easy. Even though it looks easy, it’s not. It’s not easy, but on the other hand, hope is still there,” said Mr. Jolivet.

Former Trois-Rivières MP Paul Philibert still has the Liberal logo tattooed on his heart despite adversity.

He admitted not even knowing the name of the Liberal candidate in the riding, but assured that he would vote for him, if only to contribute to the public financing of the party.

“I will vote for the institution in the sense that now with the new financing of political parties, the state finances according to the percentage of the vote. So I’m going to add my small percentage of votes so that the Liberal Party can have a minimum of funds to keep the flame going, ”explained Paul Philibert.

Against all odds, Yvon Lemire, former MP for Robert Bourassa in Saint-Maurice, remains unwavering. He supports first and foremost Dominique Anglade.

“I think she’s a woman of the future the way she works and she does a good job. But in the period it is not easy”, must agree Yvon Lemire.
