One more escapade for Joachim Son-Forget. The former deputy of the presidential majority was arrested in Paris on Saturday June 15 for “refusing to comply and driving under the influence of cocaine”, franceinfo learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office on Wednesday June 19, confirming information from the Actu.fr website. He was placed under judicial supervision while awaiting his trial scheduled for the end of August.

During a patrol in the 7th district of the capital, a police crew noticed that a Mercedes was driving “speeding” and therefore “wishes to carry out a roadside check on the driver”, describes the flooring. The police then activated their flashing lights “but the person concerned continued on his way, made a sudden U-turn and hit a parked vehicle, which did not stop him”. Joachim Son-Forget continued “to drive at high speed, using lanes on which cyclists were traveling”specifies the prosecution.

The police eventually managed to block his path and arrested him at 12:10 p.m. His drug test revealed “positive for cocaine” and a quantity of 0.7 grams of white powder was found on him. The former deputy of La République en Marche, who then joined Éric Zemmour’s Reconquest party, was brought before the public prosecutor on Monday, who summoned him to a criminal hearing on August 29. He will be judged for “refusing to comply with endangering the lives of others, failure to control his vehicle, driving while using drugs and hit and run after a material accident”. He faces five years in prison and a fine of up to 75,000 euros.
