This judgment comes at the end of the trial which took place in December. Then Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt was tried for favoritism in a public contract in 2009 when he was mayor of Annonay (Ardèche). The judgment was therefore rendered in the absence of Olivier Dussopt, “bedridden, he couldn’t come”declared the president in the preamble to the judgment this Wednesday.

Olivier Dussopt reacted immediately through his lawyer: “Justice has restored his honor, he is very happy”, declared Georges Holleaux. The former minister also said “happy” that his innocence was “recognized”, in a statement sent to AFP.
