Former socialist minister, deputy and senator Louis Le Pensec died at the age of 87, France Bleu Breizh Izel learned on Wednesday January 10 from consistent sources.
“A man with granite convictions, a clear and frank outlook, an activist minister, he was a pillar of the socialist governments under François Mitterrand. A man of dialogue, he was a negotiator with Michel Rocard of the agreements on New Caledonia”posted Wednesday morning on X the first secretary of the Socialist Party Olivier Faure.
Louis Le Pensec was a deputy for Finistère from 1973 to 1997. Appointed Minister of the Sea then Overseas under Mitterrand, he also held the post of Minister of Agriculture during the government of Lionel Jospin. He then served as a senator from 1998 to 2008.
